W.E.B Du Bois wasn't just an activist for African Americans but for Women right Also.

W.E.B Du Bois was well known throughout most of his life, He was very active in many aspects in Social, Writing, Education and Civil rights. 

He helped founded NAACP; help expose the Racism and discrimination on the " Crisis magazine. He showed the word of lynching and segregation.

A well-known court case the NAACP helped win was Brown v. Board.

He ran for U.S Senate and Even arrested for being a Peace activist. 

He expressed many times for being a women advocated with his writings talking about how African American Women was a "double burden" facing racism and sexism. In 1912 he wrote a piece in The Crisis titled "Votes for Women."

How His Work Was Received?

His work was highly respected in the African American community but was also highly controversial with White Americans. Many African Americans looked up to him for his powerful writing during this time. But Booker T. Washington didn't technically agree with W.E.B Du Bois and this disagreement is well known even today; we learn about it in History books. he wanted African American to focus more on what they already know like farming and trade work, Believing African American should just work hard and earn respect with White Americans, He wanted Economical Success before Civil rights.
